Dual Clutch Transmission Fluid
The performance of the iSWEEP Dual Clutch Transmission Fluid (DCTF) is not confined to a single factor. It harmoniously balances a wide range of performance requirements including - slip control characteristics of wet multi-plate clutches, synchronizer mesh compatibility, hydraulic control compatibility, and gear system wear and fatigue resistance. Moreover, the DCTF takes into account compatibility with other essential and fundamental materials that make up the transmission in a mechanical and scientific way.
Our DCTF is designed with the most demanding driving conditions in mind, such as circuit and sports driving. During the development stage of our new DCTF for DSG, we conducted a thorough performance evaluation of the factory OEM DSG oil. This includes data collection and analysis of the used oil from various applications and environments, including harsh conditions like circuit driving by qualified third-party scientific institutions.
The results revealed that the lubrication protection of the factory OEM DSG oil decreases after approximately 30,000 km of use. We also confirmed phenomena such as increased gear shift shock and control malfunctions due to the increase in oil temperature during long high-speed or circuit driving.
Our iSWEEP DCTF has examined and optimized these issues from the perspective of oil lubrication science. While maintaining a non-polymer specification, we have optimized the molecular structure and molecular weight distribution of a special hydrocarbon-based base, and achieved a combination to respond to different friction characteristics in each part of the transmission mechanism by including a balanced functional additives.
Furthermore, as the modern compacted design of engines and transsmissions is a factor in increased thermal load, we have specifically developed to improve oxidation stability that can withstand high temperatures and high loads. With these considerations, our DCTF has proven to exhibit exceptional viscosity characteristics (high viscosity index) that can cover high temperature regions corresponding to harsh driving conditions to low temperature regions in cold climates, as well as superior friction characteristics, wear resistance, and control stability. ■Timken OK Load Test
The Timken Test is a comparative analysis between the factory OEM DSG oil and the iSWEEP DCTF. The test evaluates the maximum load or maximum pressure that can be supported by the lubricating oil without causing damage such as burning on the sliding friction contact surface under controlled conditions.
